Bomb Threats Disrupt European Flights, No Devices Found
Several flights across Europe were disrupted today after receiving bomb threats, leading to emergency landings, diversions, and heightened security procedures. According to officials and various airport authorities, at least four flights were affected, including a LOT Polish Airlines flight from London diverted to Modlin airport near Warsaw, and a Ryanair flight from Lisbon that landed safely in Rome following reports of potential explosive devices onboard. Additionally, a Ryanair plane from Manchester was subjected to an inspection in Murcia, Spain, while two separate flights in Bulgaria, operated by Wizz Air and Ryanair, were thoroughly checked at Sofia Airport. In each case, authorities activated security protocols, cordoned off areas, and conducted thorough searches. No explosive devices were discovered on any flight, and all passengers were cleared. Airports affected, including Modlin and Chopin in Poland, resumed normal operations following the police investigations. These incidents occurred amid renewed concerns over airspace security in Europe, but officials emphasized that all threats proved to be hoaxes and passenger safety was maintained throughout.
