A business jet carrying nine people crashed into a residential neighborhood in West Palm Beach, Florida, on Sunday afternoon, resulting in the deaths of all those on board. According to U.S. Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy and the Federal Aviation Administration, the Learjet 60 departed from Austin-Bergstrom International Airport in Texas and was en route to the Bahamas when it went down around 12:50 p.m. The aircraft erupted into a large fireball upon impact, narrowly missing nearby homes and crashing near a busy roadway. Emergency responders arrived quickly at the scene. Federal authorities, including a team from the Federal Aviation Administration, are assisting the National Transportation Safety Board in investigating the cause of this incident. Officials have described the event as a "horrific tragedy," and the identities of those on board have not yet been released.
